County school enrollments on upswing
By STU MERRY
Schools in McLean County, as well as McClusky and Lewis and Clark North Shore (Makoti and Plaza), are bucking the trend of declining enrollments around the state. All districts show the same or increased enrollments from one year ago.
The biggest gainer is Garrison where enrollments in grades preschool through 12 are up 26 students. Washburn has an increase of 23 students.
Underwood added 19, while White Shield and Wilton saw an increase of 10 students each. Max enrollment is up eight, Turtle Lake-Mercer enrollments are up three, while at McClusky enrollments remained the same.
