Decorating for doughnuts
By STU MERRY
Garrison High School Principal Steve Dangel likes Christmas.
No. That’s an understatement. He L-o-v-e-s Christmas.
If you think he’s a child at heart, you’re right. He is.
Dangel challenged first hour classes at the high school to decorate the doors to their classroom. The first place prize – doughnuts for each student – all on Dangel’s dollar.
The students and teachers accepted. The challenge was on.
While the Bob Callies Elementary School does something similar, this is the first year the high school has held a door decorating competition.
Nashton Wimer, a sophomore, likes the change.
