Don’t forget your ID. The General Election is Tuesday. McLean County voters are voting by mail or will head to polls next week.
County officials remind voters as they come to the poles a voter ID is still required.
County Auditor Les Korgel said the four acceptable forms of ID include a current N.D. driver’s license, a N.D. non-driver identification card, a tribal ID card or a long-term care certificate.
The ID must include the person’s name, current address and date of birth.
“A voter’s affidavit is also available if you do not have one of the other forms of ID,” Korgel noted.
Voting absentee or by mail also requires an ID, including a passport, military ID, N.D driver’s license or non-driver’s ID card, long-term care certificate.
The auditor also said if you have moved and not updated your driver’s license with the state, do that before coming to the polls.
“You can visit the NDDOT website and update your address online,” he said. “You can also call NDDOT driver’s license division at 701-328-2600.”
