Drug bust in rural area

One female from Deering, N.D., a male from Stockdale, Texas, and another female from Interlochen, Mich., were taken into custody following a drug search recently northeast of Garrison.
According to authorities, the McLean County Sheriff’s Department, along with United States Postal Inspectors, conducted the search about 11 miles northeast of Garrison. In their search, deputies and federal postal inspectors came across evidence of a marijuana grow.
The sheriff’s department was alerted to suspicious activity by federal authorities after a package was seized in Bismarck. The package was being shipped by mail when federal authorities found it to be suspicious. The package was searched after a federal warrant was obtained. The contents inside were that of a controlled substance, marijuana.
