Family nurse practitioner joins Garrison Family Clinic

Family nurse practitioner joins Garrison Family Clinic
By STU MERRY

Dara Schroeder is the new family nurse practitioner at the Garrison Family Clinic. The Bismarck native is taking the place of RN-PA Lu Graeber who will retire at the end of June. Schroeder began her duties at the clinic May 24.
Schroeder has been a registered nurse for the past seven years with a focus on obstetrics. She has also been involved in oncology and ER work at both Bismarck healthcare facilities and at MeritCare in Fargo. She returned to school in 2008 at the University of Mary in Bismarck. She graduated in early May, receiving her masters degree to become an FNP.
Schroeder said she is excited to have a job right away and looks forward to serving clients at the Garrison clinic. She presently commutes from Bismarck and will be at the clinic Monday through Thursday.
Schroeder said she was looking for a challenge, and that prompted her to strive for her Family Nurse Practitioner degree.
