Members of GAIA went to a Main Street Initiative Conference in Bismarck. Garrison was one of four cities chosen to be featured in Gov. Burgum’s keynote speech.
Burgum said he chose Garrison because of its vibrancy, its partnership with the Fort Stevenson State Park, Dickens Festival and the progress made on local projects that exemplify the Main Street Initiative.
The governor generated conversations based on those talking points and Mike Matteson elaborated on all that Garrison has accomplished.
