Garrison City Council will transition back to McLean County Sheriff's Department
Approximately two weeks ago, the Garrison City Council started a discussion about transitioning to a split where the McLean County Sheriff’s Department would supplement the Garrison Police Department for coverage when they were off duty.
Councilwoman Bree Stumvold asked if the sheriff’s office was even willing to work with the Garrison Police Department.
“No,” Alderman Shannon Jeffers said.
Ultimately, the council decided that financially that wouldn’t work and they’d rather go with only the sheriff’s department.
