Garrison Golf Course gets an upgrade
Members of the Garrison Golf Course board were excited to announce that the new High-Definition Golf Simulator is up and running in the clubhouse.
“It is the best technology out there for golf simulation,” board member Tami Eggel said.
The grand opening to come out and take a shot at the simulator is Dec. 5 from noon to 7 p.m.
“We are going to do things where people come out and can actually play a few holes to see how it works,” Engel said. “Plus, the games, they can learn about the games that are on there for birthday parties, family gatherings, or the kids are home for the weekend, come out and play these games because they are soo much fun.”
The games Engel is talking about are in addition to golf courses from all over the world. There are darts, poker, mini-golf and many more all played with a golf club. Besides being fun, they sharpen golf skills like aiming for an object and deciding your swing strength.
“(The simulator) keeps you swinging through the winter, it’s not like being outside, but it is nice. I actually like the simulator more than outside because I’m not looking for my ball quite as much,” Engle said. “And it’s always 70 degrees and no wind!”
