Families turn out for pool opening day

Swimmers packed the pool this weekend for opening day on Saturday, with just under 100 attendees at the Garrison parks facility.
A total of 90 individuals visited the pool Saturday to enjoy swimming free of charge, an annual tradition at the Garrison Pool.
Due to limited staffing, pool hours have been adjusted for the summer, with the facility open from 1-4 p.m. every Sunday; 7-9 p.m. Wednesday; 1-5 p.m. Mondays and Fridays; from 1-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Swimming lessons are also being offered at the pool again this year.
