Imagination Library popular program

Betsy Dalrymple could only have imagined how far the former first lady’s efforts would go.
Betsy, the wife of Jack Dalymple, North Dakota governor from 2000 – 2010, started a partnership between North Dakota and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Program. The program is to get library books into the hands of children 1-6 years old.
Garrison joined the program in 2014. Roseglen and White Shield followed the next year.
Deb Youngs, Garrison school librarian, said, “Her mission was to have every zip code in North Dakota represented in the Imagination Library Program. As a former educator, she knows how important exposure to reading is to our children’s development.”
