Is three dollar gas here to stay?

McLean County on par with gas state average

McLEAN COUNTY — While gas prices have dropped in the state, as well as throughout the country, McLean County’s average – $3.12 – is just around the average mark for North Dakota. Two weeks ago, the state had one of the country’s top ten weekly decreases in the average price of gas, dropping from $3.44 to $3.27. Then, last week, it dropped another 15 cents, returning the average price of gas to what it was a year ago. It has been a rocky road for gasoline averages in the state, which saw the highest average recorded at $4.79 on June 15.
And now, in some parts of the county, gas is lower than the county and state average. Gas stations, including Totten Trail and Coleharbor and the Max Cenex, are advertising gas at $2.99 a gallon.
