Judge rules in district’s favor

If Garrison educators don’t appeal, the legal battle between Garrison teachers and the school board is over.
A District judge ruled July 8 that contracts could be issued. A temporary restraining order was handed down May 16 blocking the issuing of contracts.
With the ruling, letters went out Monday for teachers to sign contacts for the 2009-2010 school year. Contracts must be returned by 3 p.m. July 26. Contracts for the 2010-2011 school year will be issued July 26 and will be due within 30 days.
Superintendent Steve Brannan said, “I’m glad the process – to this stage – is over.”
