Local McLean County standouts represent in Annual Shrine Bowl All-Star Football Game

The 2025 North Dakota Shrine Bowl once again brought together the best high school football talent in the state, offering senior athletes one last opportunity to don their helmets in a meaningful and competitive setting, all while supporting a good cause.
Among the 11-man and 9-man West squads were several key contributors from the Velva-Drake-Anamoose-Garrison Aggies and the Central McLean Cougars.
The 11-Man West team battled the East in a tightly contested game but came up just short in a 10-7 loss.
Despite the result, the experience was a powerful one for Velva-D-A-Garrison’s Treyson Iglehart, who capped off an outstanding prep career with the honor of representing his region.
“It was a really good experience finishing off my high school career,” Iglehart said. “Getting to play with players I haven’t ever played with and meeting new people all week was awesome. Playing in that game is a huge honor, being here for all the Shriners patients, and I’m glad we could help raise money for them.”
