‘Nobody wants to be a cop anymore’
GARRISON – Staffing continues to be an issue with the Garrison Police Department as it is still on the search for a third full-time officer to join their ranks.
A vacancy following the departure of an officer has left the department to include Police Chief Travis Tesch and officer James Jabara. And while the search to fill the vacancy has been ongoing, the results are less than fruitful.
“We’ve had a couple of calls, but nothing serious,” Tesch told the Garrison City Council at their meeting on July 2. “We’ll keep looking.”
