School officials at Garrison and Max will bring their respective school bond issues before patrons in February.

At Garrison, the date is Thursday, Feb. 5. At Max, the bond election is Friday, Feb. 20.

At their meeting Wednesday, Dec. 17, Garrison School Board members voted unanimously to proceed. The election will be at Garrison High School. Polls will be open from 11 a.m., to 7 p.m. Ballots will be canvassed Feb. 11 at the high school at 6:30 p.m.

Meeting the same night, the Max School Board voted unanimously to bring the $8 million bond issue before voters once again as well. Polls at the school will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 20. School officials plan to canvass ballots Feb. 26 at 6 p.m.

Garrison board members also voted unanimously to issue general obligation school building bonds with a maximum amount of $5.9 million. The funds would provide funds to construct, remodel, improve and equip school buildings at each campus.

Max voters already approved raising the bond limit to 10 percent at the Nov. 19 election. That matter passed with a 50.3 percent approval. That issue needed a simple majority.
