McLean County Ag Show returns Feb. 9
N. D. ag commissioner to host forum

North Dakota Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring will be one of the featured speakers at this year’s McLean County Ag Show. The show, set for Wednesday, Feb. 9, will be at the Garrison High School. It is sponsored by the Garrison FFA chapter and Garrison FFA alumni.
Nearly 50 exhibitors will be in attendance this year, including Garrison’s two newest businesses – North Country Marina & Motorsports, and Sakakawea RV.
Goehring will be speaking on challenges and opportunities facing agriculture in North Dakota.
Casey Behles, Garrison FFA president, said she is pleased at how everything is falling into place as the show nears.
“It’s been a lot of fun to put together, and it will be exciting to see how it all turns out,” she said.
The exhibit hall opens at 9 a.m., with coffee served by Farm Credit Services.
At 10:30 a.m., Darrin Sand, Member Services director, MEC, will present on USDA grants and loans that are available for energy efficiency projects and/or equipment. The title will be “Show me the Money.”
At 11:30, Paul Anderson, Victoria Seed and Processing Inc., Coleharbor, will share how easy it is to become involved in social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
The title is “Stand up, Speak Up. Telling the True Story of Agriculture.”
