Memorial Day programs to be held in region
American Legion posts from the region will be ceremoniously celebrating Memorial Day this coming Monday. Garrison The Hugh P. Minnehan American Legion Post 49 of Garrison will host a program at the Garrison City Auditorium, starting at 10 a.m. The speaker will be coming from Minot Air Force Base.
Ryder
A program will be held by the L.C. Jensen American Legion Post 99 at the Ryder Community Center at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served by the
Ryder Senior Citizens. Following the program, military honors at the veterans wall, located in the Ryder Park, will be held.
White Shield
The Joseph Young Hawk-Elmer Bear American Legion Post 253, White Shield will hold a ceremony at the Old Scout Cemetery, located
west of White Shield, at 12 p.m, followed by a program at the old Ralph Wells Complex. The guest speaker will be Loren Yellow Bird, a
Navy veteran originally from White Shield.
