Merry Christmas in July?
The Dickens Village Festival Committe is hosting a ‘Chirstmas in July’ event at Garrison City Park on Tuesday, July 29, to get the community members who are busy during the festival to enjoy some “Dickens” for themselves.
“The catalyst behind this event was when we were conducting surveys in the spring. We were hearing from a lot of businesses and employees how no one had a chance to ride the Queen Elizabus yet,” CVB Director Racheal Brown said. “So first and foremost, we want our businesses, vendors and volunteers to all know we will have Queen Elizabus out the evening of our Christmas in July event and we will have two rides available.” The first ride will head out of Garrison City Park at 5:30 p.m., and the second at 6:30. “We will also have live entertainment on the stage, flyers and posters with our final (Dickens) entertainment announcements, food,” Brown added.
