Motorists endangered

By STU MERRY

The McLean County Sheriff’s Department knew it must be approaching the time for a full moon, which was Monday night.

Department officials were busy late last week, involved in multiple motorist pursuits. In virtually all, narcotics abuse was involved.

McLean County Sheriff JR Kerzmann said in all incidents, motorists who were not involved were put in danger.

Authorities caution motorists to be alert when they see oncoming emergency lights.

"If you see red lights, pull over or get out the way, someone extremely intoxicated might be trying to occupy both lanes," he said.

Kerzmann also said to be aware of oncoming traffic.

"Drive defensively," he said.
