One new face joins school board

Three veterans and one newcomer were elected to the Garrison School Board Tuesday.
Incumbents Bonnie Nygard, Duane Hummel and Rodger Affeldt were re-elected. Newcomer Christy Seidler was elected to a one year term.
Nygard was elected to a three-year at-large position. Affeldt, who was appointed to fill a seat vacated by Jerry Sayler, filed for a three-year rural term. Hummel was elected to a three-year rural position.
Christy Seidler was the biggest vote getter with 235 votes, for one-year term previously filled by Affeldt for Sayler. Write-in votes for that position were: Brent Jacobson (3), John Butman (2), Sue Schreiner (1), Steve Seidler (4), Shannon Seidler (1), Chad Betz (3), Daryl Engel (2) and Lisa Haugen (1).
