Out-of-district tuition levy proposed

Out-of-district enrollment fees are taking a bite out of Garrison School’s general fund, dollars that are used for all operating costs throughout the district. The general fund is the primary fund used to cover the district’s annual budget.
To compensate, the school officials are exploring the possibility of adding a tuition levy. Funds from the levy would be used solely to offset the expense the school incurs for students who are educated out of district, whether residentially or at alternative schools out of district.
