Paving for progress

By STU MERRY

Construction continues to flourish in Garrison’s newest housing development, the Bicentennial Addition in northeast Garrison. It will be more so in the next few weeks as contractors rush to get projects complete before winter sets in.

While building on multiple new houses progresses, if things go as planned, homeowners in the addition – specifically Freedom Drive and Franklin Way – should have paved streets by the first of October.

This past Thursday, Greg Fasor with Bartlett & West Engineers, Bismarck, met with Garrison City Council Streets, Utilities and Personnel Committee members Dave Reinarts and Tyler Modlin, project infrastructure contractor and alderman Glen Nygard, Mayor Shannon Jeffers, Dean Keller from Keller Paving, Minot, maintenance supervisor Alan Beyreis and Auditor Diane Affeldt.
