Sanitation companies offer commercial, rural services

With the new year just days away, Garrison area businesses need to make arrangements for sanitation service. Failing to do so could leave them with a nasty pile of trash. The need arose when Terry Ellison, current provider, announced he will cease garbage collection effective Dec. 31.
While Waste Management has been awarded a three-year contract to provide residential garbage collection in Garrison, service to local businesses and rural residents is not included in the contract.
During Monday’s Garrison Chamber of Commerce meeting, members were told that two sanitation companies are willing to provide commercial and rural residential service.
