School officials move on bond issue
June date set for voters to go to polls

No more toes in the swimming pool to check to see if the water is too warm or too cold. Garrison school board members are ready to jump in with both feet.
Voters will go to the polls in June to decide on a school bond issue, if all goes as planned.
School administrators, maintenance personnel and Building and Grounds Committee members met this past Thursday with Wayne Whitty of Anderson, Wade & Whitty, Architects, Minot. Whitty is the person in charge of designing the plan.
The group continued to rehash the project, him-hawing about what should be included and what should be done next. Elementary Principal Shelley Fuller pushed the group to get the ball rolling.
“Now, it’s time to move out and move past that (brainstorming),” she said.
Whitty also urged moving forward. He told the group to develop a solid conceptual plan and a firm dollar amount. Committee members would like to keep the cost at about $8 million.
