A professional model who has been on the CW’s America’s Next Top Model is calling Garrison home.

Sharing her experiences in the modeling industry, Mariah Watchman exudes poise and confidence. Though she’s only 23, she considers herself a veteran. She’s been on the modeling scene since she was 15.

While in high school in Oregon, Mariah was encouraged to try modeling by a friend in the community. One thing led to another and she ended up attending an International Modeling and Talent Association convention in Los Angeles. More than 500 girls attended. Numerous modeling agents were there.

At the end of the week-long event, Mariah placed first in four of the divisions including Junior Miss Model of the Year and Most Sought After Female. Agents flocked. "At age 15 I had 103 agencies worldwide who wanted to sign me," she said. "That’s what opened the doors to my career."

Mariah’s career has taken her around the globe. At 15, she traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, living two months with a modeling agency in a model’s apartment. Following graduation
