Superintendent hired at Max

Superintendent hired at Max

By STU MERRY

Max has a new superintendent.
School officials got a chance this past week to sit down with their top candidate to be the school’s next administrator.
Craig Eraas and his wife Debbie of Minot met with the board to discuss what each expects. Eraas is currently assistant principal at Eric Ramstad Middle School.
He told the board he’d be interested in an 80 percent contract. School officials said they preferred a full-time “super.”
“I’m going to be here when school’s on,” he said. “You won’t get shorted on my time. I’m a workaholic.”
Eraas asked for $96,000, including benefits.
Current Superintendent Jim Blomberg, who is retiring at the end of the school year, was paid $50,760 for 2011-12, but the contract was half time.
