Tip leads to arrest of three felons

Downtown Garrison was bustling Monday afternoon with McLean County Sheriff’s Deputies and US Marshalls as three fugitives were taken into custody.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the US Marshals High Plains Fugitive Task Force advising them a wanted suspect was in Garrison on Monday afternoon.
As Sheriff’s deputies responded to Garrison, they were told of a vehicle leaving the suspect’s girlfriend’s residence. 
This vehicle was followed and stopped on Main Street in front of Garrison State Bank.
Around 1 p.m., the Garrison schools went into shelter in place while the Sheriff’s Department waited on the Marshals from the task force to arrived. 
They were able to apprehend three criminals with warrants.
Robert Painte and Ann Seewalker were taken into custody for outstanding warrants out of McLean and Burleigh Counties. Seewalker and Painte had warrants for methamphetamines, marijuana, paraphernalia and theft.
Washington had an outstanding state warrant for parole violations that included fleeing from Centre, Inc. in Mandan and violating a domestic violence protection order.
