Titans’ outstanding season ends at State Tournament
The Garrison Titans capped one of the most successful seasons in program history with a trip to the North Dakota Legion Baseball State Tournament in Lisbon, finishing with a 35-5 overall record after advancing to the fourth round of the tournament.
Although the Titans fell short of a championship, they showcased the same disciplined approach, resilient pitching and balanced offense that carried them through an outstanding summer campaign.
Garrison opened the tournament on Friday, July 31, with an impressive 14-7 victory over host Lisbon Post 7 in a game that featured explosive offense and timely hitting.
The Titans wasted little time, scoring three runs in the opening inning before adding another in the second.
Lisbon answered with four runs in the bottom of the first to briefly take the lead, but Garrison regained control with a five-run fourth inning and added four more in the fifth to put the game out of reach.
