For the second year in a row, students from both Garrison schools gathered for a Veterans Day program to honor vets from our community.
American Legion Auxiliary Unit President Karen Meier opened the program by introducing Cub Scout Pack 37 and Girls Scout Troop 83840 as they Advanced the Colors and led the gymnasium in the Pledge of Allegiance.
A beautiful rendition of the National Anthem was sung by the high school women ensemble.
After the fifth grade students sang “Lift the Flag of Freedom,” Sadie Majeres and Brooklyn Baker demonstrate how to properly fold the American Flag while Clay Bendickson reads what each fold stands for.
Another rousing song sang by the third grade students: “You’re a Grand Old Flag.”
