Wheels on busing continue to roll
By STU MERRY
Garrison School officials will review results of a patron survey about busing at their October meeting, later this month. Could it bring the issue of in-town busing to a solution? That’s the tiger in the room.
The survey, which was emailed to patrons via the school alert system, Facebook page, and its website last week, came out of a meeting, Thursday, between the school board’s Transportation Committee, a handful of patrons and officials with West River Transit.
The meeting was to see if a resolution could be agreed to regarding in-town busing. One thing both sides agreed on is that it is time for the issue to be put to rest.
Survey questions included:
•“Do you believe the district’s current stance on busing is acceptable?”
