Spring breeding duck numbers tallied
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department’s annual spring breeding duck survey conducted in May showed an index of 4.9 million birds, up 23 percent from last year and 110 percent above the long-term average (1948-2013).
Young Titans split games
The Titans traveled to Underwood and the Pee Wee team must have enjoyed the ride as they sent 16 hitters to the plate in the first inning and cruised to a 27-3 win. Anna Holte and Jamison Rime got their first Pee Wee League hits and 15 of the 16 Titan players scored at least one run.

The Titan Legion team highlighted the home opener for the baseball teams last week but they weren't the only game in town.
Titans open in grand style
It was a home opener that was two years in the making. The grand opening of the newly refurbished Titans American Legion Baseball Field on the north edge of Garrison.
Gehring, Kamp earn mini-camp top honors
Shelby Gehring and Jaaron Kamp, both incoming freshmen at Garrison, are this year’s Trooper Coed Mini-Camp outstanding campers. The camp concluded its week-long run this past Friday with an awards ceremony at Roy Schei Gym.
Run 4 Robyn Saturday
Runners from across the state will once again be coming to Garrison this weekend. They are coming to participate in this year’s Run 4 Robyn run/walk.
Trooper track qualifies five
Five members of the Garrison-Max track team are headed to Bismarck this weekend to compete at the state level in track and field.
