Comets triumph in OT

The Underwood girls basketball capped their regular season with a rousing overtime win over Surrey Monday night, turning back the come-back Mustangs 59-51 despite the Comets’ struggling to put the ball through the hole repeatedly during the overtime.

The Underwood Comets picked up a win on their home court Monday night, knocking off District 10 rival Center-Stanton by the score of 59-44, a nice margin of victory as the Comets look toward peaking right around district time.

The visiting Turtle Lake-Mercer Trojans and home-standing Comets battled through an overtime last Tuesday before the Trojans pulled out a 59-52 win on the wings of 33 points from Turtle Lake-Mercer’s Mariah Sellon.
