Troopers stun Miners
After what seemed like an eternity for the Wilton-Wing boys basketball team, they took the court for the first time Dec. 20 to face the Garrison Troopers on their home court.

The Wilton-Wing Miners girls basketball team came home after a good start to the season to face a physical Medina/Pingree-Buchanan team, whose only loss came at the hands of Carrington.

Lady Miners clean up in shootout
The Wilton-Wing Miners girls basketball team opened their season last weekend in the 12-team McLean County Shootout. Wilton would be one host, along with Washburn High School the other.

The Wilton-Wing volleyball team held their annual award banquet last week to honor the efforts of this year’s team. Coaches Alison Smith, Jocelyn Bergquist and Carissa Steinert handed out an array of awards to team stats leaders, effort awards and letter winners.

Wilton’s Taylor Bergquist was honored this past week as one of the 15 best players in Region 5.
Comets end Lady Miners season
The Lady Miners headed into the region 5 tournament sitting in the fourth seed and were ready to take on the Comets of Underwood, who they had defeated earlier in the season in four sets.
