Construction begins on The Meadows
Construction of The Meadows, 18-unit assisted living facility in Garrison, was scheduled to begin Wednesday of this week after official ground-breaking at the site Monday afternoon.
Equipment and crews of Cofell Plumbing, Heating & Excavating, Inc., of Bismarck and JEM Construction of Mandan were expected to be on the site for the initial contracts, site utilities and earth work, respectively, at mid-week.

McLean County to see second wildcat well
Soon there will be two wells. McLean County commissioners heard at their Aug. 5 regular meeting from Lauren Hunze, tax director, a permit has been issued for a second wildcat oil, that will be located in Cremerville Township.
The incoming compliments have far outweighed the complaints from McLean County residents in regard to the snow removal by the county highway department. That is the word from county commissioners during their Feb. 3 meeting.
The Garrison administration staff received 5 or 6 percent increases in salaries, when the school board met Tuesday evening.
Dates for renting one- and two-bedroom apartments at The Meadows and for the grand opening-dedication of the new assisted living facility were selected at a meeting of the Better Living for Garrison (BLFG) board of directors last week.
